Standing at the Crossroads
I have been at my job for 3 years now. I have been with the company for 7 years. I may have an opportunity to interview for a position outside of the company. More money and a better title. However, I love the company I currently work for. Great benefits. Very understanding of my family time. Great people.
However, I have become stagnant in this position. I am looking for the next challenge. Do I give up all of my stuff to take a chance? The other company is probably #2 behind my company's #1 status in this industry. They are reputable as well.
*Sigh* I guess I have lots of thinking to do before I send out this resume this afternoon.

I had thee peeeerfect job...left it to make 30K more....hated that job with every fiber of my being.
Mor emoney isn't always good money.... and this coming from a money hungry materialist gold digger!!! LOL
Go with whatever goals you have set in place for yourself...long term. Don't be afraid to venture outside "the box".
I just emailed my resume. It would be better for long term growth I think. Plus about 20-30K more and a great title. The opportunity to manage my own team.
I would just miss the comfort level here. sigh.
We shall see...it's in God's hands now.
The money comes and goes...my happiness is what would matter to me. If you think you can be just as happy at the new gig or they would give you the same consessions that you present gig allows you...go for it.
I think I posted this once before..."Why does the fear associated with risks almost always outweigh the hope provided by the possibilities?" We find comfort in the familiar which sometimes paralyzes us from the potential that resides in the unfamilar. Life is about growth, growth comes at a risk. There is a lesson in every moment, prepare to grow and seize your next lesson fearlessly!!!

I’ve been there before, hell we all probably have. It’s that moment when you have to make a significant decision in your life and you know that the outcome will either hurt you (or someone you care for) or make you extremely happy. However, despite the fact that the odds of success are in your favor or that if you are successful your life could be better than you ever imagined, the thought of being unsuccessful or the idea of the impact your lack of success could have on you and those you care for scares you so much that you become incapable of taking the risk. I hate when that happens, in fact I almost always look back on the safe decision I made and regret not taking the risks (but I have also taken the risk and later regretted taking it). Dayumed if you do…LOL!!
money doesn't buy happiness, but it sure does finance vacations:-)
don't be afraid of change, it's the only thing in life that is one hundred percent inevitable!
I feel your pain. Sometimes the quality of life at the company is more important than the amount you're getting paid. But, you also have to step out on faith and trust that what's for you is for your. Leaving your company is on your mind for a reason...
Good luck!
Take the money...Then send me a check for ten dollars...lol
